The doodle demonstrates an old PC with the first Google landing page on its screen, a Linux penguin, a server secured in toy building pieces and an astro light.

In an online journal clarifying the doodle, Google has given various pictures from the first days of the organization to demonstrate the motivation for the birthday picture, including "within Google's first office, otherwise called Larry [Page] and Sergey [Brin]'s Stanford apartments".

"For our seventeenth birthday, we offer a look into our modest beginnings, when marked hockey shirts were cool and Savage Garden had a number one single" the blog entry peruses.

The date of Google's birthday has changed throughout the years without much clarification. As indicated by IBNLive, Google praised its birthday on 7 September – as far as anyone knows denoting the day it turned into a fused organization – until 2005.

In any case, the organization documented consolidation papers on 4 September 1998, however it has never utilized this date as its birthday, and since 2005 it has denoted its birthday on 8 September, 26 September, and since 2012, 27 September.

"At the point when is Google's birthday? I'm not certain even we know," composed Doodle Team Lead Ryan Germick in 2013, including: "Still, while there's some contrasting conclusions about when to break out the candles and cake, one fun reality is that our first doodle was posted even before Google was authoritatively fused 30 August, 1998 versus 4 September, 1998)
